Wani sabon bincike ya lalata rarraba sukari a cikin tsire-tsire, yana ba da hanyar haifar da ƙarancin sukari ko 'ya'yan itace 'abinci'. Binciken, wanda aka buga a cikin Ci gaba na Kwalejin Kimiyya na Kasa (PNAS), ya ƙare
shekaru bakwai na bincike da Farfesa Yong-Ling Ruan na Jami'ar Newcastle daga Makarantar Muhalli da Kimiyyar Rayuwa, tare da haɗin gwiwar takwarorinsu a Jami'ar Northwest A&F.
Farfesa Ruan ya ce binciken nasu ya yi nuni da alamomin da ke nuna adadin sukarin da ake jigilar su zuwa ma'ajin ko'ajiya' na kwayar halitta.
"Wannan binciken yana ba da sababbin kayan aiki da kwatance don inganta haɓakar shuka, tsaro da matakan sukari ta amfani da fasahar kwayoyin halitta," in ji Farfesa Ruan.
"Yana buɗe kofa don haɓaka ko rage yawan sukari a cikin tsire-tsire, yana taimaka wa manoma don haɓaka inganci da samar da sabbin samfura irin su 'ya'yan itace da sukari ko kuma samar da ƙarancin sukari, 'ya'yan itace masu daɗi ga mai ciwon sukari."

A matakin salula a cikin tsire-tsire, ana isar da sukari zuwa cytoplasm - wani bayani mai kauri wanda ya cika kowane tantanin halitta. Sauran sukarin sai a sauke su a cikin tantanin halitta.

Ta hanyar nazarin tuffa da tumatur, Farfesa Ruan ya ce tawagar ta gano cewa nau'ikan masu safarar sikari guda biyu suna aiki tare don jigilar sukari mai yawa zuwa cikin matsuguni.

"Abubuwan da muka samo suna wakiltar babban ci gaba a fahimtar sarrafa kwayar cutar jigilar sukari da sigina a cikin sel shuka."
